The track I have chosen for my music video is 'Feeling Good' by Avicci, a cover of the original song by Nina Simone in 1963. Nina was an iconic activist for the civil rights movement as well as an advocate and inspiration for women. The idea that the song my Artist sings is a cover of music by one of the most prominent activists in history is perfect since the song is themed around feminism and my artist is a huge activist herself. By converting the song from its original jazz genre to a more modern pop song, the target audience wouldn't be so niche and the song would be able to appeal to the majority of young females who enjoy pop music. It also allows my artist to add her own unique flare to the song, converting the genre to fit her voice and style of music.
